Earth Hour And Real Estate

Uxbridge, Ontario - Earth HourTM And Real Estate

Uxbridge is becoming more energy conscious, residents are looking to alternate and renewable sources for heating and electricity generation.

The approaching Earth HourTM starts some thinking about what they can do to reduce their carbon footprint and reduce energy consumption.

Energy conservation and alternative energy sources are becoming very popular around Uxbridge. Solar panels are appearing on barn roofs and in farmers fields. Wind mills are also becoming more popular. but the biggest conservation movement appears to be in Ground Source Heat Pumps although there are many homes (particularly farm homes) in the country that are using Outdoor Wood Furnaces.

These solutions are great for property owners who have the necessary land or structures to install them, but  what about the families who wish to live in town They certainly can not take advantage of these options.

Upgrading can be done to help increase the efficiency of your home but nothing beats a home that was built to energy star standards.

Home buyers looking in Uxbridge may be surprised to Know that Uxbridge has homes that are Energy Star Rated.

Millions of people around the world will be turning out the lights at 8:30pm on March 26th for Earth HourTM - 8.30 PM, 26 March 2011. will You?

Kathy you are so right it is easy to be energy conscious if you live on a large Land, on the other hand it is hard to reduce your Carbon Footprint in Inner Cities like Los Angeles, New York, Boston or Chicago to name a few. I love the Energy Star rating we have levels of Green Construction, not a Star...

Endre - it means digging a little deeper when buying new but if more people looked for builders that were building for a greener tomorrow it would not be long before all builders built that way.

My girlfriend bought an energy star rated home and loves it. She can't believe her utility bill savings.

Janice - I would imagine mine would be cut in half or more especially the heating bill
